Global Goods Partners, a New York-based non-profit organization, offers a wide variety of products - jewelry, handbags, silk scarves, stationary sets, and more - produced according to fair-trade principles, by women-led, community-based organizations in Africa, Asia, and South America.
These organizations include the Pohotar Organization for Development and Advocacy in
Peshawar, Pakistan.

To purchase GGP merchandise and designate that Dosti is to receive a portion of what you spend, simply log on to the GGP website  Click on "Shop for Change"
Note - slight change in procedure , in September 09: Once you have started selecting items, you will be prompted to choose an organization to support. Select the Dosti Foundation to ensure that we receive credit for any purchases made.

Each high-quality GGP item comes with a description of the organization that crafted it;
the challenges facing the organization’s community; and what that organization is doing
to improve the lives of children, women, and families in the developing world. GGP uses all of its proceeds from product sales—as well as additional private donations and foundation support—to provide technical assistance and capacity-building grants to its partners.

Any further inquiries on Global Goods Partners and their programs can be obtained by contacting Linda Barnett at lbarnett@globalgoodspartners.org.

And many thanks to Linda for providing the above organizational information.

Dosti’s affiliation with No Sweat works almost the same way.  Click this button

to shop for No Sweat
clothing and footwear online, and ensure that we receive a portion of the money you spend.
All No Sweat products are made by workers belonging to either co-operatives or independent
trade unions.

GGP and No Sweat both adhere strictly to fair trade principles - meaning that all their products are made without the use of child labor, slave labor, or exploitive "sweatshop" practices. Both are members of Green America’s Green Business Network  "the oldest, largest, and most diverse network of socially and environmentally responsible businesses in America."
