Aijaz Ahmad was born and raised in Karachi Pakistan and did his master's in Microbiology from Karachi University. While living in the United States between 1986 and 2010, he worked for various Pharmaceutical companies.

Aijaz returned to Pakistan in late 2010, and currently acts as liaison between DWO and GEC. He was appointed president of the DWO board in Pakistan in early 2011.
